Recruitment

As members of the Greek community, Alpha Delta Pi is proud to welcome those who want to enhance their college experience as part of something bigger. Come home to Alpha Delta Pi and find women who are true and loyal, just like our blue and white colors represent. ADPi sisters are leaders and visionaries. We are SGA senators, artists, student athletes, and scholars. We are committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards, and social responsibility. We committed to those when we established the first secret society for collegiate women in 1851 at the first university chartered to grant degrees to women. We are committed to them still today.

Hello!
‚Äč
My name is Erin Atkinson and this year I have the privilege of acting as Zeta Psi's Recruitment and Marketing Vice President. Recruitment is truly one of our chapter's passions and having the opportunity to help girls find their own home is something I am so excited to do within my position!

I am from a small mountain town in North Carolina and I was one of three people from my high school to come to UNCG. I was far from home and felt like I needed a strong support system to help me get through the trials of college life. I took my first year at UNCG to try to figure out who I truly was outside of my comfort zone, but as I finished my freshman year I realized I did not have that strong support system that would make UNCG seem a little more like home.

At the beginning of my sophomore year, I decided to give recruitment a try. Through recruitment I found my home here in Alpha Delta Pi, and found my place as a Spartan. I found people to lift me up when I fall down, to bring me back down to earth when I need a reality check, but most importantly I have found life long friends that make me a better version of myself.

My sisters truly have shown me what it means to be a best friend and what it means to truly be there for someone else. Whether we are studying in the library, having fun around campus, or just watching movies together, every moment I spend with them is one I know I will hold dear for years after college. The values that our chapter holds are values we all strive to live out in our everyday lives. We carry these memories in our hearts and they can never be taken from us. It is my hope that regardless of the organization, that all women at UNCG find a home like the one I have found, and I hope that I can be a part of that process with them.

Just remember no matter how far away from home you wander, you can always find your way back home.

Pi love, and all of mine,

Erin Atkinson
